This Month's Speaker: Philip Chambers
Memory Techniques for effective networking
Philip is a world expert in “Brain Friendly Techniques”. These techniques include mind-mapping, working styles analysis, accelerated learning and memory skills. I am sure that we will all benefit by learning these techniques and that we will have an interesting and enjoyable presentation.
Thank you to Fergus McClelland for an interesting and very interactive presentation in October. Thank you also to our volunteer who did a fantastic job. I had very good feedback from those present and a good way of judging the popularity of our speakers is the numbers of people who purchase learning tools at the end of the talk and the numbers who stay behind and continue to network. Thank you again Fergus.
We are fast coming towards the end of 2008 and I would like to remind everyone that we are a membership organisation. We need to have paid up members. It does cost to run the club, we have a website which costs to maintain and we have other expenses which I keep to a minimum but there are times when we pay overnight and travel expenses to our speakers. Please start thinking about paying your 2009 subscription and about others who might like to join our organisation.
I am maintaining the rate to £20.00 for membership for 2009 just where else could you get the quality of speakers and the networking opportunities for this fee?
Let us try to assist one and other in business. If we hear of opportunities that we as a business can’t fulfil let’s introduce others from the club who can. Spread the news about the club and grow our membership so that we may all help each other. Remember the businesses that continue to sell and market aggressively and continue developing their people are the one’s which will survive and will lead us out of recession.
Remember if you wish to have your “60 seconds of glory” as either a new member to tell us about yourself or your business or as an existing member to tell us something of interest or about an event you are promoting, please contact me at the start of the meeting prior to sitting for breakfast. Remember 60 seconds or you are belled!
Please confirm your attendance by close of play Wednesday 26th by phone to Eagle Partnerships on 07802 259956 or by email to info@eaglepartnerships.co.uk or info@breakfastclub.uk.com or annemorrissearch@aol.com
I look forward to seeing you all on Friday 28th of November at Webb’s of Wychbold Garden Centre and please don’t forget your business cards.
Kind regards
Anne

Surviving the Recession!
As there was a problem with the delivery of the relevant newsletter I am posting an attachment which some of you received last month about surviving the recession. It is information that we all know but sometimes need a reminder to get us to take action. It is written by club member Graham Wood for the benefit of club members, so Please Read This Attachment
Surviving the Recession.
Wanted: New Members, Dead or Alive!
Actually, we'd prefer them to be alive! Let us try to get some more new members into the club and spread the word about the benefits of membership.
|

|
We all network for a variety of reasons, to spread the word about our business, to meet with a peer group for support, to make “business” friends and to hear excellent presentations from speakers who want to help us to grow successful businesses. Let us try to share these experiences with other local business people. Invite someone to come along to a meeting. |
Sixty Seconds of Glory!
Remember if you wish to have your “60 seconds of glory” as either a new member to tell us about yourself or or as an existing member to tell us something of interest or about an event you are promoting, please contact me at the start of the meeting prior to sitting for breakfast. Remember 60 seconds or you are belled!
Shout about your Success!
If you've had a business success at this month, email Unique Public Relations and we'll try to celebrate with you in the next newsletter.
Support and Prosper!
The financial institutions have gone mad globally at this time and we are all going to be in for a hard few years! As business owners, directors and managers we have to find strategies for survival and growth, not easy at any time but even more difficult and dangerous for us all now! As a club let us try to assist one and other. If we hear of opportunities that we as a business can’t fulfil let’s introduce others from the club who can.
Spread the news about the club and grow our membership so that we may all help each other. Our motivational and success story speakers remind us of “stuff” we know but has been filed away, they enthuse us and reenergize us and I have already managed to book some really good presenters for 2009.
The businesses that continue to sell and market aggressively and continue developing their people are the one’s which will survive and will lead us out of recession.
